Our new Bell, Explorer and Safari glamping tents have a variety of sleeping options – queen, king, two queens, queen and a twin, queen and bunk beds — with soft mattresses and quality sheets, pine furniture, fans, electric lights, wood pellet stoves and heaters. The glamping tent platforms are in the trees, with a veranda, outdoor chairs and a small enclosure with a portable toilet and sink. A short walk takes you to a new building with showers and toilets in private bathrooms. There is an area for barbequing and outdoor dining. Our hot tubs under the stars are also nearby. Glamping is a far cry from the days of camping on air mattresses with sleeping bags!

Our glamping guests have full access to the amenities and receive the complimentary breakfast in the Manor House. We have walking trails for those who want to explore nature and close by is the Digdeguash tidal bay and waterfall.
The History of Glamping
Glamping is often considered a new concept because the word was only added to the dictionary in 2016. However, historical records and paintings reveal its popularity among the European aristocracy from the 1500s. The English kings and a few hundred friends were known to erect more than a thousand tents for a summer holiday of “glamping”, furnishing the compound with beds, tables, chairs and oriental carpets from their castles. African safaris brought an unprecedented luxury to camping in the early 1920s that has now spread around the globe as “Glamping.”
Glamping with pets.
While we love your pets, and appreciate how much you want to have them share your glamping experience, there is a risk involved. If left inside a tent, or when something interesting is seen outside, a dog’s natural instinct is often to scratch at the screens. A damaged tent may have to be sent to the manufacturer in Denver, Colorado, and the cost of shipping, repair, and customs clearance can easily exceed $1000 – for even a small repair. This cost would be your responsibility. Never leave your pet alone inside a glamping tent.
Our new 2023 R-Pod trailer provides a unique glamping experience. There is a queen bed with a bay window, smart TV, sound system, heating and air conditioning, kitchenette with cooktop, microwave/convection oven, fridge, bathroom with shower, large deck with awning, and outdoor furniture. Nearby are the hot tubs and fire pits. The dining room serving a complimentary breakfast is less than 100 yards.
